Emily Howgate

I’m a sustainability consultant and permaculture teacher, based here in Stroud – just down the valley from Helen. Permaculture helps me ‘grow well’, my biggest ‘yield’ from this work is happiness – I hope to share that with you 🙂
A nature kid at heart, my BSc in Ecology and MSc in Leadership for Sustainability root my work in the natural world and systems thinking. I’ve spent most of my career working on sustainable food and conservation projects, with groups like WWF and RSPB. I enjoy blending my wildlife-friendly growing experience with passion for nurturing our best human nature (I’ve trained in compassionate communication and Joanna Macy’s ‘Active Hope‘). Completing my PDC in 2019 was a fab experience and I now collaborate with Helen on PDC teaching, and fellow ‘2019 alumni’ Shila in our permaculture business ‘Muck & Magic‘.
